Application of Prepainted Aluzinc Steel Coil

1.This is PPGL’s largest and most core consumer market. Due to its excellent weather resistance and UV protection, it is widely used in the exterior and interior structures of modern buildings, performing particularly well in high-temperature, high-humidity, or coastal climates.

Roofing Systems: Corrugated steel sheets, corrugated panels, glazed tiles, etc. PPGL’s high heat reflectivity helps reduce interior building temperatures.

Wall Cladding & Facades: Exterior wall cladding for industrial plants, warehouses, and large supermarkets.

Sandwich Panels: Steel plates on the top and bottom of polyurethane (PU) or rock wool sandwich panels, commonly used in cold storage, cleanrooms, and prefabricated houses.

Doors, Windows, and Public Facilities: Rolling doors, security door panels, louvers, awnings, and drainage systems.

2. Home Appliances / “White Goods” Manufacturing: In the home appliance industry, casing materials not only need to be corrosion-resistant, but also have extremely high requirements for surface quality (such as color difference, gloss, and scratch resistance). PPGL is favored due to its smooth surface and ease of stamping.

Major Appliances: Refrigerator side panels and doors, freezer casings, washing machine casings, dryers.

HVAC: Air conditioner outdoor unit casings (requiring long-term outdoor exposure, severely testing corrosion resistance), indoor unit back panels.

Small Appliances: Microwave oven, oven, water heater casings and control panels.

3. Automotive & Transportation: The automotive and transportation industries have strict standards for lightweight, shock-resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials. PPGL applications here are mainly concentrated in commercial vehicles and internal structural components.

Body Parts: Car door inner panels, trunk lids, chassis mudguards.

Commercial vehicles: Bus body shells, truck cab panels, refrigerated truck bodies.

Public transportation: High-end interior trim panels and partitions for trains and subways.

FAQ

Q1: What is the fundamental difference between PPGL and PPGI?

A: The core difference lies in the substrate. PPGI (color-coated zinc) uses a 100% zinc layer for protection; while PPGL (color-coated aluminum-zinc) substrate coating consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. This combination makes PPGL’s corrosion resistance typically 2-3 times that of ordinary PPGI, and it also has stronger heat reflectivity, making it more suitable for extreme climates and high-end construction.

Q2: What range of aluminum-zinc coating weights (AZ Coating Weight) do you offer?

A: We offer a full range of customized AZ Coating Weights from AZ30 to AZ150 g/m². For coastal areas or heavy industrial environments, we recommend a coating weight of at least AZ100 to ensure a long product lifespan.

Q3: What are the painting system options for color-coated aluminum-zinc coils?

A: We offer a variety of high-performance coating solutions to suit different needs:

PE (Polyester): Economical and practical, suitable for general environments.

SMP/HDP (Reinforced Polyester/High-Durability Polyester): Offers better color retention and UV resistance.

PVDF (Fluorocarbon): Top-tier weather-resistant solution with the strongest resistance to chemical corrosion and a shelf life of over 10 years.
