Quick overview.
Width 1,000–1,500 mm, Zinc Coating Weight 30–275 g/m2, Materials SPCC, SGCC, Q235, and GB Standard. Cutting, Shearing, Slitting, Bending, and Stamping available; Standard Export Packaging; MOQ 10 Metric Tonnes.
The most common gauge is 1.5 mm galvanised sheet metal. A material with the ideal thickness—neither too heavy nor too light—is produced by Cold-Rolled Substrate passing through galvanising or Electro-Galvanizing lines. This thickness makes it easy to bend and form, but still meets high load requirements. Zinc Coating Weight 30 to 275 g/m² Suitable for a broad range of applications from interior cabinets to roof panels Width 1,000 to 1,500 mm. We have sufficient stock on hand, and our delivery times are reliable. This specification does not include long lead times in months for production.

What are the benefits of 1.5mm galvanised sheet metal? To summarise, galvanised sheet metal has three main benefits: sufficient rust protection, ease of fabrication and cost effectiveness.
Rust protection is the primary function of galvanized steel sheet. The zinc is a Sacrificial Anode Protection, it corrodes first and protects the steel underneath. This protects areas where bare steel is exposed from cuts, holes, scratches etc. Zinc Coating Weight Indoor components 30 – 275 g/m² (Z60 – Z120) Wall panels and roofs, semi-exposed areas Z150 – Z180 Near the coast or near chemical plants Z275 Service life is usually 10-25 years depending on the Zinc Coating Weight and environmental conditions. The corrosion protection is much lower than stainless steel but the price is only a third to a fifth of stainless steel. Galvanised steel sheet is thus more economical for the majority of projects.
The best material thickness was 1.5 mm. This is thin enough for bending and Stamping complex parts, yet thick enough to ensure stable structures without collapsing or wobbling. The DX51D and DX52D steels are characterised by good ductility, crack free deep drawing and an abrasion resistant coating. The edges do not tear when drilling and the coating does not flake off at the bending radius. The weld bead is smooth. Resistance welding or arc welding is possible. Z275 re-coating produces a large amount of welding fumes so prior extraction is recommended. Cutting and standardising the sheets are standard tasks. All flattened, punched or Stamping parts can be joined together. The plant has slitting, levelling and Stamping facilities in-house removing the need to work with external processing partners.
Material choice is flexible. SGCC substrates are for galvanising only, while SPCC Cold-Rolled Substrate are for general formed parts. The European standard for hot-dip galvanising is met by DX51D+Z, while the U.S. standard is met by Q235 and A653. The JIS Standard, EN Standard, GB Standard, ASTM Standard are based on the requirements of project acceptance, not always to comply with our standards.

Galvanised sheet metal is 1.5 mm thick and is used where corrosion protection and some strength is needed. Its main applications are in construction, household appliances, transportation, industrial equipment and agriculture. The choice of coatings is dictated by the environmental conditions, and the grades are chosen according to the processing requirements. DX51D made parts and Q235 or S350 orThe main options are GD bearing parts.
Our plant is equipped with slitting, straightening, punching, bending, and Stamping machinery. From one galvanised sheet of 1.5 mm we can produce Cut-to-Length flat sheets, thin strips or perforated finished products. Corrugated, perforated, and profiled sheets are also possible. We cut the material to the shape of the desired final product. Kindly send us your drawing and processing requirements so that we can prepare the sheets as per your production line.
For export we use regular ocean freight packaging: The goods are wrapped in waterproof paper, reinforced with steel straps, secured in a wooden frame and packed in a cardboard box. An iron or wooden frame protects the coil materials from moisture and impact. The 1.5 mm sheet can be stacked to save space and fits snugly in a cabinet. Shipping costs are easy to calculate. If you would like to change the packaging method (e.g. rust-proof film, different bracket sizes, flat shelf opening) this can be indicated when ordering.
A: Hot-dip galvanising is preferred for parts used outside and in semi-open areas because it provides a thick coating and high corrosion resistance. Electro-Galvanizing surfaces are smoother and more uniform, with a thin but uniform Zinc Coating Weight. They are often used for the housing components of household appliances in indoor applications. Despite being more expensive than Hot-dip galvanising, Electro-Galvanizing has a shorter service life. If you would like we could send you a demonstration on how the process works.
A) Take the environment into account. Z60–Z120 Electrical control cabinets Z150–Z180 roof, wall and ventilation ducts Z275 coastal or chemical plants Spend a little more for a heavier Zinc Coating Weight and you will not have rust problems for several years.
A: Yes, we can cut the pipe to length.
A: Yeah. Width of slot pipe, length of shear pipe. Standard lengths: 2000, 2440, 2500, 3000 mm. When ordering, please specify the required dimensions and adjust them before installation in the control cabinet.
A: 10 tonnes per size. In smaller quantities, shipping and handling costs eat into the price advantage. At this quantity you can expect regular lead times and dependable delivery.
A: Around 11.8 kg/m² Do the maths here 1.5 x 7.85 the galvanised steel weighs less than 0.3 kg/m2 A single sheet, 1.22 m x 2.44 m weighs approximately 35 kg.
A: The galvanised coating will definitely burn off in the vicinity of the weld. Zinc is replenished after welding – by zinc-rich paint or by spraying zinc to protect the weld. If you let us know in advance that you will be welding, we will create a zinc replenishment plan prior to shipping.
A: Why is sheet stock more expensive than coil stock?
A: The finished product is made by coiling galvanised wire. The sheets are cut from the coil and additional cost is associated with cutting and unloading the sheets. Coiling is more economical where feasible.
A: We will check the quality before delivery.
A: We do Zinc Coating Weight, salt spray test, tensile strength test, check dimensions and surface quality at the factory. We will give you advance notice as the contract calls for third party inspection.
A: Quotes are valid for 30 days from date of issue.
A: 7 working days. Zinc ingot prices are set by the futures markets and bids are quickly undercut. Quote needs to be extended for longer budget periods. We will let you know about the extension as soon as the quote expires.
