The topcoat bounces most solar radiation back before it turns into heat, keeping interior temperatures down in summer and reducing air-conditioning use. White paint ages better than darker colors. Colored metal fades over time and can leave white powder residue; on white sheets that powdering is almost invisible, so the roof keeps its clean look much longer. The bright, even surface reads as tidy on site, and white pairs with any facade scheme.
Substrates cover galvanized steel, galvalume and ZAM, with coating weights from Z30 to Z275 g/m2 or AZ30 to AZ160 g/m2. Topcoats run from PE to SMP, HDP and PVDF, with matte, glossy, textured or laminated finishes.
