1. Phenomenal Corrosion Resistance: Zinc coating greatly improves corrosion resistance of steel since it encloses the base material from air and moisture. Service life of Q235 steel can be extended by 3-5 times as compared to ungalvanized Q235 steel and can be used in humid and outdoor environments or environments that are mildly corrosive such as building facades, livestock farms and pipe supports.
2. Great Processing Performance: Q235 steel offers processing advantages like plasticity and can be processed by shearing, bending, stamping and welding. It can be formed into diverse products such as plates, profiles and pipe fittings based on requirements.
3. Highly Cost-Effective: Q235 has a low base price with a low cost of fabrication because of the highly developed fabrication process. Q235 with galvanization will be less expensive than stainless steel and aluminum alloys, while meeting the basic corrosion resistance, and can be used for the “low cost + long service life” solution.
4. Consistent Mechanical Properties: The zinc coating, which will be 50-100 g/㎡ (on both sides), will not appreciably change the core mechanical properties such as yield strength or tensile strength of Q235 steel. Load safety of building and other structural frameworks is not compromised.
