Advanced Engineering: Inside Our PPGL Steel Strips
The Galvalume Core: Engineered for Dual Protection
At the heart of our PPGL steel strips is a premium hot-dip Galvalume (GL) coil. Our substrate features a highly optimized alloy coating composed of 55% Aluminum, 43.4% Zinc, and 1.6% Silicon. This precise formula delivers a powerful dual-defense system: the aluminum provides a robust, impermeable chemical barrier, while the zinc acts as a sacrificial anode. Together, they ensure exceptional, long-lasting corrosion resistance for your end products.
Premium Multi-Layer Coating System
Durability is built into every layer. We utilize an advanced “Two-Coat, Two-Bake” manufacturing process, meticulously applying and curing the primer and topcoat on both sides of the steel. This guarantees superior paint adhesion, vibrant color retention, and maximum weatherability.
Unmatched Performance & Versatility: Bomis PPGL Steel Coils
Engineered for excellence, our PPGL steel coils deliver the perfect balance of structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. They provide exceptional corrosion resistance, superior thermal reflectivity, and outstanding formability for deep processing, making them the ultimate material choice across diverse industries.
Explore the Core Applications:
Building & Construction
Applications: Structural purlins, C/Z-shaped steel sections, heavy-duty roll-up and garage doors, photovoltaic (PV) mounting brackets, and industrial ventilation/spiral ducts.
The Benefit: Delivers robust strength and weatherability for long-lasting infrastructure.

Home Appliance Manufacturing
Applications: Outdoor air conditioner unit casings (side/top panels, bases), refrigerator components (side/back panels, door frame trim), washing machine enclosures, and water heater casings.
The Benefit: Offers high-temperature resistance and a premium, decorative finish that elevates consumer goods.
Commercial Storage & Logistics
Applications: Supermarket display shelving, heavy-duty warehouse racking beams, industrial tool cabinets, and secure filing cabinet enclosures.
The Benefit: Combines excellent formability with a durable surface to withstand daily wear and tear in high-traffic environments.

Q1: What is the difference between a PPGL coil and a PPGL strip?
A:PPGL coil is the original, wide roll of pre-painted Galvalume steel (typically 1000mm to 1250mm wide). A PPGL strip is created by taking that wide coil and using a precision slitting machine to cut it into narrower, specific widths (e.g., 300mm, 500mm, etc.). Strips are designed to be fed directly into specific manufacturing lines, making them ready for deep processing like stamping, bending, and specialized roll forming.
Q2: What widths and thicknesses can Bomis Steel customize for PPGL strips?
A: We offer highly flexible custom slitting services. We can process PPGL strips with thicknesses ranging from 0.12 mm to 1.5 mm. For the width, we can slit the material to anything between 300 mm and 914 mm, or even narrower depending on your specific production requirements. Just let us know your exact dimensions!
Q3: Will the slit edges of the PPGL strip be prone to rust?
A: This is a common concern, but the Galvalume (Aluzinc) substrate provides excellent protection. The 55% aluminum-zinc coating offers a “sacrificial anodic” property. This means the coating actively protects the exposed steel at the cut edges from rapidly oxidizing. However, for maximum longevity, we recommend storing the strips in a dry environment and avoiding prolonged exposure to standing water before final fabrication.
Q4: Can I choose specific colors and paint systems for my strips?
A: Absolutely. We can match any color on the standard RAL color chart, and we also offer custom color matching based on your physical samples. Depending on your project’s weatherability requirements, you can choose from various premium paint systems, including PE (Polyester), SMP (Silicone Modified Polyester), HDP (High Durability Polyester), and PVDF (Fluorocarbon).
