JIS G3322 PPGL Coil – High-Temperature Resistant Prepainted Galvalume
Key Advantages of JIS G3322 PPGL
1. Exceptional Heat Resistance & Thermal Stability
Unlike standard galvanized steel, our JIS G3322 compliant PPGL excels in high-temperature conditions:
Sustained Performance: Capable of withstanding continuous exposure to 315°C (600°F) without surface oxidation or discoloration.
Extreme Tolerance: In medium-high temperature environments ranging from 500°C to 600°C, it retains structural integrity far longer than GI products.
Industrial Applications: This makes it the ideal material for chimney pipes, HVAC systems, oven components, and heat-shielding panels.
2. Advanced Thermal Reflectivity for Energy Efficiency
Cool Roofing Technology: Its thermal reflectivity is twice as high as ordinary galvanized steel. By effectively reflecting solar radiation back into the atmosphere, it significantly reduces the “Heat Island” effect.
Cost Savings: When used for roofing and exterior wall cladding, it keeps indoor temperatures lower, reducing air conditioning energy consumption by up to 20-30%.
3. Superior Surface Quality & Formability
CGLCC Grade Accuracy: As a commercial-grade material, it offers excellent ductility for deep drawing and complex bending without paint peeling.
Smooth Aesthetic: The JIS standard ensures a uniform “spangle-free” or “minimized spangle” surface, providing a sleek, modern finish for premium appliances and building facades.

JIS G3322 PPGL Colour Coated Galvalume Coil Application Scenarios
- Highly Corrosive Outdoor Environments
Coastal Salt Spray Environment: This type of environment contains a large amount of chloride ions, which accelerate the corrosion of ordinary steel. The 55% aluminum-zinc coating of this coil forms a protective barrier that resists salt spray corrosion, making it suitable for building roofs and exterior walls in coastal areas, or for the casings of outdoor facilities near the sea.Energy-Saving Building Environments
It has a high heat reflectivity, which can reflect the heat of sunlight. Therefore, it is suitable for building roofs and exterior walls in hot regions, reducing the amount of heat absorbed by the building and lowering indoor cooling energy consumption, such as in residential and commercial buildings in tropical and subtropical regions like Southeast Asia and South America.Low-Maintenance Environments Requiring Long-Term Use
This coil has a long service life and requires low daily maintenance. It is suitable for environments that are difficult to access or maintain, such as the exterior walls of high-rise buildings, outdoor storage facilities in remote areas, or the casings of unattended outdoor equipment.

FAQ about PPGL
1.what is JIS G3322 Galvalume Coil
JIS G3322: Japanese Industrial Standard, the full name of which is “Prepainted hot-dip 55% aluminium-zinc alloy-coated steel sheet and strip”; it involves hot-dip coating a cold-rolled substrate with a 55%Al-43.4%Zn-1.6%Si alloy (i.e., Galvalume/aluminum-zinc coating), followed by coating with a synthetic resin paint and baking for curing. It also includes corrugated sheets processed according to JIS G3316; it is different from pure galvanized steel (GI) and unpainted aluminum-zinc coils (JIS G3321).
2.Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We are a factory with over 10 years of sales experience
3.How do you guarantee the quality?
1) Sourcing only from top-tier, certified mills.
2) Conducting our own rigorous in-house QC checks.
3) Providing a formal Mill Test Certificate and our quality warranty for every shipment.
4.What is the typical pencil hardness of JIS G3322 prepainted steel?
Our JIS G3322 PPGL coils typically achieve a pencil hardness of H to 2H, providing a tough surface that resists marring during the roll-forming and assembly processes.
