What is PPGL Coil – JIS G3312Galvalume Roofing Sheet ?
PPGL Coil – JIS G3312 (Roofing sheet) refers to pre-painted aluminum-zinc coated steel coil conforming to the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS G3312, commonly used in the manufacture of roofing sheets. The following is a detailed description:
Standard Overview: JIS G3312 specifies the technical requirements for pre-painted hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and coils. It uses cold-rolled steel sheets conforming to JIS G3302 as the base material, and is manufactured by coating one or both sides of the hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and coils with a durable resin and baking.
Product Features: PPGL coils use cold-rolled steel sheets as the base material, coated with a 55% aluminum-zinc alloy layer, and pre-painted with a polymer coating. They have excellent corrosion resistance, decorative properties, and processing performance.
Specifications: Thickness is usually between 0.12-0.6mm, and common widths are 914mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, etc. Regarding zinc/aluminum-zinc coating weight, the galvanizing amount is generally 40-275g/m², and the aluminum-zinc coating amount is 40-150g/m². In terms of coating thickness, the primer is approximately 5μm, the topcoat is 7-25μm, and the backcoat is 7-15μm.
Why choose our factory’s JIS G3312 Galvalume Roofing Sheet
Excellent Appearance Quality and Design Flexibility
Consistent Color and Gloss: Our industrialized production guarantees high consistency in color and gloss within the same batch and even across different batches, meeting the aesthetic requirements of large-scale projects.
Diverse Surface Textures: Our factory offers a variety of textures, including smooth, wrinkled, and embossed finishes, enhancing design appeal and scratch resistance.
Excellent Weather Resistance and Color/Gloss Retention: We use SMP or PVDF topcoats, which have strong UV resistance, ensuring long-lasting vibrant colors and preventing chalking and loss of gloss, keeping the building’s appearance looking new for years.
Selectable Substrate Strength: Our factory adheres to JIS standards and offers a variety of steel substrates, allowing you to choose different strength grades (such as yield strength of 280MPa, 350MPa, etc.) according to design requirements.
Strong Paint Film Adhesion: Our production standards require rigorous cross-hatch, bending, and impact tests to ensure that the paint film does not peel or crack during processing, bending, and stamping.
Excellent Flatness: Our factory typically uses zero-spangle (F-type) substrates, resulting in an extremely smooth surface, providing a perfect foundation for coating and the final appearance.
