BOMIS Steel’s galvanized checker plates are highly load bearing, have slip resistance, and are exceptionally heavy-duty and corrosion resistant. We provide a variety of options for industrial flooring, stair treads, and beds for commercial vehicles as we bear the ability to produce plates with burr-free edges and multiple surface patterns (teardrop, diamond, lentil, etc.). Being a company that bears advanced production capabilities, we are able to customize our products significantly. An example of this is the ability to make plates of a specified length. We have the flooring solution you need!
BOMIS Steel Galvanized Checker Plates are designed to address slip resistance, heavy loads, and corrosion in industrial zones. Our full product line includes diamond, teardrop, and lentil patterns, all featuring seamless, burr-free edges. Our offerings include flooring, treads, and transport products, to which we provide custom and cut-to-length services.

Zinc coating gives corrosion resistance.
Raised diamond or teardrop patterns give the best slip resistance in industrial applications.
The steel base along with the galvanized layer provides structural durability.
Excellent formability along with no concern of coating flaking provides ease of formability and machinability.

Q1. What type of tread patterns can we find in Galvanized Checker Plates? What other patterns can we find?
A: Referring to the standard categorization for tread patterns, we can find Diamond, Tear Drop, and Lentil and Round Bean patterns. Beyond those, we can also provide custom designs that will provide additional anti-slip protection.
Q2. How do you determine the size of a checker plate?
A: The size (or thickness) of a plate that we say is in the range of 1.5mm – 6.0mm refers to the Base Metal Thickness (BMT). The raised pattern’s height (or thickness) is excluded in that range. That is to satisfy some structural requirements of the plate for it to carry specific loads.
Q3. With Z275, what corrosion and wear resistance does it have?
A: Having a Z275 coating means having a layer of hot dip galvanization. That will protect the metal from rusting. In normal cases, it has a life expectancy of 15 – 30 years.
