    \nIn neutral salt spray testing per ISO 9227, Z275 goes past 1,000 hours before the first red rust appears. Z140 typically reaches 400 to 500 hours under the same conditions. Real-world life depends on the exposure. Coastal zones, industrial areas, and high-humidity environments eat zinc faster than dry inland sites. As a rough rule of thumb, Z275 gives you roughly double the outdoor service life of Z140 before the base steel needs any attention.<\/p>\n

    Can you supply S350GD+Z275 as slit coils instead of full-width?<\/strong>
    \nYes. We slit from mill-width master coils down to your specified width. The minimum slit width depends on the thickness you order. Send us your target dimensions and we can confirm feasibility the same day.<\/p>\n

    Does roll-forming or bending crack the zinc coating?<\/strong>
    \nNo. The zinc is metallurgically bonded to the steel during the hot-dip process, not applied as a surface paint or film. It handles 180\u00b0 cold bends without flaking or peeling. But at 350 MPa yield, your forming equipment needs more force than it would for a mild grade like DX51D. Make sure your roll-forming tooling and die clearances are spec’d for structural-grade steel.<\/p>\n
