Aluzinc trapezoidal roof sheet in Cal.28 — 0.36 mm thick, 1080 mm wide, 6 m long. The 55% Al-Zn-Si coating outlasts galvanized sheet in tropical and coastal weather.
This aluzinc trapezoidal roof sheet is the same product written two ways. Cal.28 is 0.36 mm, the sheet measures 1.08 m by 6 m, and we quote both figures so your purchase order matches what the crew measures on site.
The coating is 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon, hot dipped on a continuous line. Aluminium builds a barrier oxide, and the zinc looks after the cut edges. That is what keeps a roof alive along the laps and the fixing holes. In tropical sun and monsoon rain, that combination outlasts plain galvanized sheet by a wide margin. A weathered surface still reflects most of the heat, which is worth having under a low roof.
Calibre is the other thing buyers ask about. Across Colombia and the Andean market, roof sheet is ordered by calibre rather than by millimetres, and Cal.28 is the gauge that covers most domestic and light commercial roofs. Publishing both numbers removes the guesswork: 0.36 mm is the mill figure, and Cal.28 is the one the site foreman checks.

Aluzinc roof sheet goes onto buildings where the roof has to outlive the paint budget, and a trapezoidal profile spans purlins without extra support underneath. A 1.08 m sheet is light enough for two people to lift into place, which holds the installation cost down on low-rise work.
Coils run on our own galvanising line and are roll formed to profile in house, so the coating weight and the calibre are fixed before forming rather than after. Pre-painted sheet comes off the colour coating line, which is why bare and prepainted can be quoted on one delivery. Send us the purlin spacing with your enquiry, because it decides the profile and the thickness together.

Profiled sheet is bundled in tens and strapped on timber bearers so the profile cannot crush itself in the stack. Standard sea packing is waterproof kraft paper under a galvanised steel jacket, which holds through a forty day crossing without edge rust.
Calibre 28 is the gauge, and it corresponds to 0.36 mm. Colombian purchase orders usually carry the calibre, while the mill certificate shows millimetres. Both numbers describe this sheet.
Aluzinc. The coating is an aluminium-zinc alloy with silicon rather than pure zinc, and that is why it lasts longer on an exposed roof.
Yes. The same profile runs through the colour coating line, so it can ship in RAL colours instead of bare.
The sheet is 1080 mm wide. Effective cover width depends on the profile, and we confirm it against the drawing before the order is placed.
Yes. Every lot leaves with its mill test certificate, and we confirm which document you need first.
16 metric tons per specification, which typically covers a small commercial roof.
