Chapa galvanizada de 3 mm

3mm Galvanized Steel Sheets
Premium galvanized steel from Bomis comes with significant advantages over our competitors’ products. Our sheets are available in a variety of gauges (3 mm being popular) and are galvanizing sheets with strong zinc-layer adhesion (providing superior formability).

Common Dimension Optimization Standard widths of up to 1500 mm are available with 6 m precision-cut lengths, or any other dimensions of choice.

Preferred Substrates High-grade base metals (for structural applications) S350GD+Z and S550GD+Z and DX51D–DX53D for deeper draw applications.

Exceptional Corrosion Resistance Our superior, modified, hot-dip galvanizing guarantees sheets are fully (and evenly) coated for ultimate protection.

Descripción

3mm galvanized steel is a moderately durable steel that is galvanized to allow the material to resist corrosion to an extent via a zinc coating. The zinc coating on 3mm galvanized steel is bonded through a coating method such as hot dip galvanization or electro-galvanization. 3mm galvanized steel offers a range of corrosion resistance and durability due to the coating.

Preguntas frecuentes: Láminas galvanizadas de 3 mm

1. Are 3mm galvanized sheets easy to weld and bend?

Yes. Even though the sheets are 3.0mm gauge and of a heavier gauge, they actually have excellent formability and weldability. For structural grades such as S350GD or S550GD, our sheets are able to do standard welding, punching, and roll-forming operations, and there will be no peeling or delamination of the zinc layer.

2. What is the recommended zinc coating weight for high humidity or coastal projects?

For typical structural use, it is between Z80 and Z120, but for projects in the tropics, or in high humidity and heavy rainfall, we strongly recommend specifying a zinc coating of Z275 to ensure rust and corrosion protection for the structure over an extended period.

3. How is the steel packaged to prevent rust for long ocean freight?

Heavy-duty, seaworthy export packaging designed for a long period of transit is used. Every bundle uses moisture-proof craft paper and rust-proof plastic film as a wrap. Protective galvanized iron sheets are used as an outer layer and bonded using high-strength steel strapping. This protects against rust, moisture, and damage during transport and handling.

4. Is it possible to order widths other than the standard 1500mm?

Yes. Precision slitting lines enable us to easily slit any of the standard 1000mm, 1220mm, and 1500mm widths of our 3mm coils. We can also cut them to any specific length, with a maximum length of 6m. This can help reduce the waste of your production.

5. What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and what is the standard lead time?

The standard MOQ is 18 metric tons of our 3mm galvanized sheet. The standard lead time is 15 to 30 days. A standard lead time may not apply to non-standard dimensions or specific high-grade structural requests.
