Galvalume Steel’s surface treatment
Chromate passivation | A surface treatment method used after aluminum-zinc alloy coating high-strength steel sheets to reduce white rust during transportation and storage |
Chromium-free passivation | It requires the restriction of the use of surface treatments in passivation liquids that are harmful to the environment and human body, such as hexavalent chromium |
resistant | The surface treatment method after the passivation process acts as a lubricant during processing, preventing fingerprints from staining the surface during operation and preventing premature blackening of the surface during use |
Fingerprint-resistant without chrome | Limits the content of environmentally and human-harmful hexavalent chromium in fingerprint-resistant liquids |
Oil | Surface treatment methods that reduce corrosion during long-distance transportation and long-term storage |

AZ Galvalume Steel Coil Application Scensrios
Outdoor Atmospheric Environment
Its corrosion resistance is approximately three times that of ordinary galvanized steel coils, making it suitable for most outdoor natural environments, including typical atmospheric environments in temperate and subtropical regions, as well as environments with light industrial dust and small amounts of airborne particles, such as buildings along city streets and the
exterior walls/roofs of factories in suburban areas.
It also has good resistance in coastal areas with certain humidity (areas not directly exposed to high salt spray), as the coating can slow down the corrosion of steel by salt.
Mildly Corrosive Industrial Environments
Suitable for light industrial areas with small amounts of corrosive gases, such as the internal or external structures of electronic assembly and food processing plants. The concentration of corrosive substances in these environments is low and will not rapidly damage the aluminum-zinc coating structure.
Temporary Environments Requiring Short-Term Weather Resistance
It can be used for the enclosure structures of temporary buildings, such as temporary prefabricated houses on construction sites and temporary storage enclosures. The service life of these environments is generally 3-5 years, and its coating can provide sufficient protection to prevent rapid rusting of the steel.

Frequently Asked Questions
1.what is the difference between galvalume and galvanized steel
The core difference between aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets and galvanized steel sheets lies in the composition, structure, and performance of the coating. The former has an alloy coating of 55% aluminum + 43.4% zinc + 1.6% silicon, offering both barrier protection and sacrificial protection, with superior corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and reflectivity; the latter has a pure zinc coating, primarily providing sacrificial anode protection, and is lower in cost and easier to paint, making it suitable for general anti-corrosion applications.
